The Harvard Years: The Best of Joe Harvard with Dub Proof
Dub Proof & Joe Harvard
Dub Proof is a New Jersey based reggae band mixing in elements of dub, reggae, rock, old school hip-hop, and funk. This album is Dedicated to Joe Harvard.
If you took the conscience of Bob Marley, the funk of George Clinton, the boom-bap of classic hip-hop, and the abstract delays and reverbs of 70's dub reggae and psycadelic rock you'd have the recipe for Dub Proof's songs. While occasionally venturing into more electronic and jazzy territory the band has always emphasized paring rhythms down to their essence and staying true to what they believe is the root of music. This album is Dedicated to Joe Harvard, Onebannedman, Doctor Danger, Aiden, Mal and all the Harvard family and kittys. This is a compilation of live and studio tracks where Joe Harvard shines. Joe's musical talents are solidly expressed across these 13 tracks including some classic Joey banter. Joe is an artist in the truest form, not only with Dub Proof but in all of his many incarnations of The Joe Harvard Band, Velveeta, The Cockwalkers, Onebannedman, Doctor Danger. Harvard is also know for his Up-Cycle art projects, as a published author, and of course his involvement at the famed Fort Apache in Boston. Joe’s given so much of himself to this world that we hope this collection of songs with Dub Proof can shine some light on his legacy and the amazing human being he was. Rest In Power Joey, we miss you.

Reggae, Dub, Rockers, from Asbury Park, NJ.
“When you blow a tire in the Holland tunnel at 3am on a Saturday night heading back to New Jersey, you start thinking, is this worth it...“ Says Nick Paolise, Producer/bassist for Dub Proof. Dub Proof has been beating a path out of Asbury Park, NJ since 2008. From performing as a backup band for Nina Sky to playing Live on the Artie Lange Show, Dub Proof has earned the respect of industry professionals. The band has worked with legendary Dub producer Scientist. Dub Proof has even made a mark on the hip-hop scene backing up famed Jewish rapper Kosha Dillz on his North East tour. The Dub Proof line up has been a various cast of characters, with the constant being Paolise. The current line up comprised of Nick "Turtle" Paolise (bass), Rory “Roke” Fream (guitar & lead vocals), Pat Clarke (drums), Dave “Dr. Dave” Hollander (sax & k/b), and Joe Harvard (guitar, lap steel, k/b, Kaoss /samples, b/u voc). Formed in 2007, the band has become known for it's hardworking professionalism, intriguingly original live sound and freewheeling shows. Regardless of the line up the bands sound has maintained its original dub vibe. Minor tones, deep bass, and trailing echoes that are all trademarks of Dub Proofs sound. “I love instrumental reggae, Augustus Pablo is my biggest inspiration” said Paolise. Dub Proofs music is heavily reminiscent of classic 70s dub reggae with elements of Jazz, and old-school boom-bap Hip-Hop. This self-titled debut album is a great representation of Dub Proof's free wheeling style. Featuring new material and classic fan favorites Not Enough, Slowmotion, All For Nothin', and Irish Coffee Dub! For the fans the wait is finally over, for the new listeners press play and take the ride.

A minor delight of creamy peanut butter and saucy jelly combined with a sprinkle of dub.

Irish Coffee Dub
All original dub vibes. Deep bass, haunting melodies, trailing echoes, perfect for any cup of coffee.
Irish Coffee Dub.... Started out as a woozy Sunday morning bassline and quickly evolved into a Float Rocking Dub. It was Belmar's St Patricks Day parade and we were riding a float and sipping whiskey in our coffee's. That's how the song got it's name. Whiskey tends to be a theme in this band. The day was cold but lively, and an amazing vibe for our creative energies. The melodies seemed to float out of the air and into Addis's melodica. Rory and Dave fell right in tune with beautiful harmonies... What a day! We finally captured the essence of the song and we hope you enjoy it. Irish Coffee Dub. Positive Vibes! -Dub Proof
